Three people were arrested in Limassol on Thursday during two police operations carried out as part of efforts to prevent and combat organised crime, following the analysis and assessment of information.
Among those arrested is a 45-year-old member of the police force, who is being investigated for money laundering offences.
During a search of his home, police found and seized various items as evidence. Under a court order, assets worth more than €220,000 were frozen, including a luxury car.
The other two arrests concern a 49-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman, who are being investigated for offences relating to participation in a criminal organisation and money laundering.

Investigations are continuing.
