The Grants and Benefits Service (YCHEi) of the Ministry of Finance has announced an extension to the deadline for submitting applications for state student welfare for the 2025-2026 academic year. The new deadline is 9 July 2026 at 14:00, extended from the previous cut-off of 25 June at 10:00.
Common errors identified
The extension follows the identification of a number of errors during the application process. These include applications submitted with an incorrect Alien Registration Certificate (ARC) number, applications filed by parents who registered themselves as students rather than in their correct capacity as applicant parents, and applications submitted by students themselves instead of by their parents, as required under the relevant legislative provisions.

To resolve these cases and ensure no eligible applicants are excluded, families are urged to submit their applications electronically, with accurate details, at https://sg-yxe.mof.gov.cy/
The Service has confirmed that no applications will be accepted after the 9 July deadline.
