There were heavy losses on the Iranian side following massive and coordinated air assaults by the United States and Israel this morning, targetting government, administrative and military infrastructure.
The American operation was code named 'Epic Fury' and the Israeli forces action, considered the largest air campaign in its history, was dubbed the 'Roaring Lion'.
According to early afternoon Iranian media reports, more than 1,300 people had been killed, mostly high ranking military officials, including the head of the armed forces as well as elite Iranian Revolutionary Guards at military bases in Tehran and across the country.
The minister of defence was also reported dead along with a number of other high profile officials.
According to the state news agency, a number of missiles hit a girls school in the south of the country, killing at least 40 people.
Casualties were reported near military sites, the Defence and Intelligence Ministries and nuclear facilities in Tehran, Isfahan, and Karaj.
Nuclear installations were also targeted, including Fordow and Natanz, also hit during the June 2025, twelve day war.
