US President Donald Trump said that Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, is dead, confirming the claim in a post on his Truth Social platform.

Trump described Khamenei as “one of the most evil men in history” and stated that his death represents justice not only for the Iranian people but also for Americans and others around the world who, he argued, had suffered because of Khamenei and what he called his “bloodthirsty gang”.

According to Trump, Khamenei was unable to evade advanced US intelligence and surveillance systems. He added that, in cooperation with Israel, neither Khamenei nor other leaders killed alongside him were able to respond.

Trump characterised the development as the greatest opportunity for the Iranian people to reclaim their country. He claimed that members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, military forces and other security services appear unwilling to continue fighting and are seeking immunity from the United States.

He stated that “they can have immunity now, or they will face only death”, and expressed hope that the IRGC and police forces would cooperate peacefully with what he described as Iranian patriots to restore the country to the “greatness it deserves”.

Trump also said that the country and its infrastructure have suffered significant damage within a single day, adding that intensive and targeted bombings will continue throughout the week or for as long as necessary, with the stated aim of securing “peace across the Middle East and the world”.
