Abbas Araghchi said Tehran is willing to consider any initiative that could lead to what he described as a just end to the war, though no concrete proposal has yet been presented.

Claims about drone attacks

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi accused the United States of building copies of Iranian Shahed drones and using them to strike targets in Arab states.

In remarks to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed, Araghchi alleged that the drones are called Lucas and are being used with the aim of damaging those countries’ relations with Tehran.

“The Americans have built drones similar to our Shahed, called Lucas, and use them to launch attacks on targets in Arab countries,” the Iranian foreign minister said.

Proposed regional investigation

Araghchi said Iran is in the process of forming a committee with countries in the region to investigate political targets that have come under attack.

He did not provide further details on which states would take part or on the structure of the proposed mechanism.

Position on the war

At the same time, Araghchi denied that Iran had struck any targets other than American bases and facilities.

He also said Iran remains open to any initiative that could bring what he called a fair end to the war, while adding that no specific proposal has so far been submitted.
