The German Geosciences Centre Put the Quake at 7.

A tsunami warning has been issued by the Pacific Centre

 

A massive tremor measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale slammed the Drake Strait this morning, in an area between South America's Cape Horn and Antractica's Shetland Islands, the USGS reported.

The German Geosciences Research Institute measured the quake at 7 in a shallow depth of 10 kilometres.

The PTWC issued a tsunami warning following the powerful jolt in the sparsely populated region.
