Summer’s Must-See Concerts in Athens

From punk legends and heavy metal giants to hip-hop icons and acclaimed Greek artists, Athens is packed with live music events this summer, offering something for every taste until the end of August.

If there is one thing music lovers will not be short of this summer, it is choice. Athens is hosting an impressive line-up of international and local acts, ranging from rock and metal heavyweights to hip-hop, soul, indie and electronic performers.

The Offspring and Bad Religion

Two of American punk rock’s most influential bands will share the stage in one of the summer’s most anticipated rock events. The Offspring return with a catalogue packed with crowd favourites, while Bad Religion bring their trademark blend of melodic punk, social commentary and high-energy performances.

Imiskoumbria celebrate 30 years

A decade after their last major live appearance, pioneering Greek rap group Hemiskoumbria are reuniting to mark 30 years since their formation.

The anniversary concert proved so popular that an additional date had to be added after tickets sold out. Fans can expect plenty of nostalgia, humour and the group's best-known tracks.

The Cure

The Cure return to Athens for one of the year's most highly anticipated concerts.

Led by Robert Smith, the British band continues to captivate audiences with its distinctive mix of post-punk, gothic melancholy and timeless pop melodies. The show is expected to span the group's decades-long career.

Florence + The Machine

Florence Welch brings her powerful voice and theatrical stage presence back to Greece.

Combining sweeping ballads, indie rock energy and emotionally charged performances, Florence + The Machine is set to deliver one of the summer's biggest stadium shows.

Robert Plant

The former Led Zeppelin frontman returns with his latest project, Saving Grace, featuring vocalist Suzi Dian.

Moving beyond classic hard rock, Plant explores folk, blues and Americana influences in a performance expected to blend musical craftsmanship, nostalgia and intimacy.

Pantera, Trivium and Bodysnatcher

Heavy metal fans finally get a chance to see Pantera perform in Greece for the first time.

Pavlos Pavlidis

One year after filling Water Square, Pavlos Pavlidis returns for another major appearance.

Supported by his refreshed band and enhanced visual production, the performance will also feature Pan Pan and Paidi Travma, two leading names from Greece's contemporary alternative scene.

Thievery Corporation, The Wailers and BALTHVS

Known for blending electronica, reggae, dub, bossa nova and world music influences, Thievery Corporation promise one of the summer's most atmospheric nights.

The legendary Wailers, forever linked to Bob Marley’s musical legacy, complete the programme alongside BALTHVS.

Redman

One of East Coast hip-hop's most charismatic figures returns to Athens.

With a career spanning more than three decades and classics released through Def Jam as well as his celebrated partnership with Method Man, Redman remains one of rap's most respected performers.

Soul and R&B singer Bilal will make a rare appearance in Athens.

A key figure in the neo-soul movement, he has earned acclaim for blending jazz, funk, soul and experimental R&B throughout his career.

Three major names from different corners of the metal world come together for a blockbuster night.

Swedish power metal giants Sabaton headline the lineup, alongside symphonic metal leaders Epica and veteran heavy metal favourites Savatage.

In Orbit

The In Orbit festival returns to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre with a showcase of Greece's independent music scene.

Curated by three influential record stores and labels, the event features artists spanning indie pop, electronic music, folk, darkwave and experimental sounds.

Nate Smith

One of contemporary jazz's most respected drummers arrives in Athens as part of the Philea Sessions programme.

Winner of multiple Grammy Awards, Smith is celebrated for combining jazz virtuosity with funk, hip-hop and R&B influences.

Krista Papista – Heartmode

Cypriot artist Krista Papista presents Heartmode, a site-specific performance designed for the Athens Epidaurus Festival.

Combining electronic music, performance art, pop culture references and queer storytelling, the project aims to push beyond the boundaries of a conventional concert.

TAF LATHOS

Greek hip-hop artist TAF LATHOS returns to Technopolis for what is being billed as the biggest concert of his career.

The event also coincides with the 30th anniversary of Innersense Productions and celebrates more than two decades of the artist's contribution to Greek hip-hop culture.
