Serious Allegation after Newborn Suffers Burns at Larnaca General Hospital

Allegation that infant was burned during a hospital bath is under investigation by police and health authorities.

Police are investigating a serious complaint filed by the mother of a newborn, who alleges that her baby suffered burns while receiving care at Larnaca General Hospital.

According to the complaint, the infant was allegedly injured during a bath after being placed in water of excessively high temperature, resulting in burns to the legs.

The newborn has been transferred to Makarios Hospital, where it remains under treatment, while the incident is under investigation by police and the State Health Services Organisation (OKYpY).
