Police and Labour Inspection Department investigate incident after worker fell from roof

A 21-year-old man is in critical condition following a serious workplace accident in Paphos on Tuesday, authorities said.

The incident is under investigation by Police in cooperation with the Department of Labour Inspection.

According to preliminary information, the young man was working on the roof of a building in Paphos when, under circumstances that remain under examination, he fell to the ground from a height of approximately 11 metres.

He was transported by ambulance to Paphos General Hospital, where medical examinations confirmed that he sustained a head injury. His condition has been described as critical.

Police officers attended the scene to conduct on-site examinations, while investigations continue in coordination with the Department of Labour Inspection to determine the exact circumstances and causes of the accident.
