The interior ministry's online tool allows voters to locate their assigned polling station in under a minute ahead of the 24 May parliamentary elections.

With Cyprus' parliamentary elections on Sunday May 24th, the Interior Ministry has made a tool available online allowing registered voters to find their assigned polling station quickly and easily. The tool, accessible at wtv.elections.moi.gov.cy, is available in Greek, English and Turkish and requires only basic personal details to return a voter's polling station address.

Who can vote

Every citizen of the Republic of Cyprus who had reached the age of 18 on or before election day and is registered on the electoral roll is entitled to vote. Voters must present either their voter ID card or their national identity card at the polling station. No one may vote without one of these documents, regardless of whether their name appears on the roll.

When and how

Polling stations open at 7am and adjourn for one hour at noon, resuming at 1pm and remaining open until 6pm. Under Cyprus' open-list proportional representation system, voters may cast their ballot for a party list and may additionally indicate a preference for one or more candidates on that list. Voting for candidates from different party lists is not permitted. Read more here.
