Today, June 30, 2026, is the final day for viewers to retune their television sets, the Department of Electronic Communications of the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy has reminded the public.
From tomorrow, private television channels will be broadcast exclusively through the new frequencies 35 and 48 and via DVB-T2 technology.
The department is urging members of the public to carry out an immediate rescan of their television or decoder to ensure uninterrupted reception.
Viewers whose equipment does not support the DVB-T2 standard may need additional hardware, such as a DVB-T2 set-top box, in order to continue accessing television services.
Authorities stress that the retuning process is essential to prevent the loss of access to private television channels.
