The law firm representing Anna Aristotelous has asked the Council of Ministers to immediately place her in an appropriate permanent position, following an Administrative Court ruling annulling her suspension.
In an urgent letter dated June 17, 2026, the law firm Christos M. Triantafyllides LLC, acting on behalf of Aristotelous, forwarded a copy of the court decision to the Council of Ministers.
According to the letter, the ruling means that Aristotelous’ suspension has been cancelled. The firm therefore asks that, given she already holds the position of director general, she be assigned without delay to the appropriate permanent post.
Following the Administrative Court’s decision, it remains to be seen whether an appeal will be filed and how the Council of Ministers will proceed.
The case concerns the government’s decision, about a year ago, to place Aristotelous on suspension in connection with the investigation into Central Prisons documents found at the home of a senior prison officer.
