ACANE opened in Limassol at the start of 2025, the latest move from the team behind Dionysus Mansion, and it arrives with a clear sense of identity. Born in Cyprus, inspired by Latin America, built around fire, the restaurant doesn't try to disguise where its heart actually sits. The flavours travel. The hospitality stays firmly, recognisably Cypriot.

A grill with something to say
At the centre of ACANE is the Parrilla, the traditional open grill that does most of the talking in this kitchen. It's not tucked away either, the open kitchen layout means you watch the fire do its work, which turns dinner into something closer to live theatre than a quiet meal. There's an honesty to a kitchen that lets you see exactly how your food is made, and ACANE leans into that rather than hiding behind a closed door.

The dish that says it all
Ask for one of the Parrilla's signature meat dishes and you'll understand the chef's whole philosophy in a single bite. It's a kitchen built on respect for good ingredients and on letting fire, not heavy sauces or shortcuts, do the work of bringing out flavour. Select cuts, Latin American technique, and a fair amount of confidence that the meat doesn't need much help once it's treated properly. This isn't a menu trying to impress you with complexity. It's trying to impress you with restraint.

Two cultures, one table
Here's the detail most guests miss entirely. The name and the whole idea behind ACANE were born from something simple: the meeting of different cultures around the same table. It sounds like a marketing line until you actually sit down and feel it happen, Latin American flavour and Cypriot warmth sharing the same plate without either one losing itself in the process. The restaurant's own motto puts it plainly: born in Cyprus, Latin America inspired. It's a rare thing for a place to mean its own tagline this literally.

An atmosphere built for staying late
ACANE doesn't do quiet and understated. The room is lively, cosmopolitan, and clearly designed by people who understand energy as much as they understand food, natural materials, modern lines, an open kitchen humming in the background, and cocktails built with the same creative instinct as the food. It's the kind of space that pulls double duty effortlessly: a sharp setting for an important meeting early in the evening, and a louder, looser one by the time dessert arrives. The room takes you from Limassol to Latin America and back again, all without ever losing its Cypriot footing.
