Christodoulides to Outline Cyprus EU Council Presidency Priorities in European Parliament

President Nikos Christodoulides will outline Cyprus’s priorities for its EU Council Presidency during a plenary session in Strasbourg, followed by a joint press conference and the opening of a photo exhibition.

Cyprus’s priorities for its Presidency of the Council of the European Union will be presented to the European Parliament on Tuesday morning, as President Nikos Christodoulides addresses MEPs in Strasbourg.

Bilateral meeting with European Parliament President

According to the programme, Roberta Metsola, President of the European Parliament, will welcome Nikos Christodoulides at 10:00 local time (11:00 Cyprus time). The two leaders are scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting ahead of the plenary session.

Address to the plenary

Following the meeting, President Christodoulides will present the priorities of the Cypriot Presidency of the Council of the European Union to the European Parliament’s plenary in Strasbourg.

Joint press conference and photo exhibition

As outlined in the official programme published on the European Parliament’s website, a joint press conference by Ms Metsola and President Christodoulides will follow the address.

During his visit to the European Parliament, the President is also expected to inaugurate a photographic exhibition organised by the Cyprus Press and Information Office.
