The Politeia Centre for Socio-Political Thinking is organising a public discussion on the growing impact of artificial intelligence on national security, strategic planning and leadership. The event will take place on Thursday, April 2, at 18:30 at Artos House in Nicosia and is open to the public.
Keynote speaker and themes
The keynote speaker will be Marina Theodotou, Executive Director of the Center for Frontier AI Security and former Executive Director of the Defense Innovation Board at the Pentagon. She is expected to address the evolving role of artificial intelligence in defence and policymaking. The discussion will focus on how AI is reshaping national security, what governance frameworks are needed to keep pace with rapid technological developments, and how institutions can prepare for the challenges of the AI era.
The event will be moderated by Anna Koukkides-Procopiou, President of Politeia, and will begin with a welcome address by Nicos Peristianis, Honorary President and Founder of the organisation. A networking reception will follow the discussion.
