The sCYence Fair returns for its seventh edition on 3 and 4 April 2026 at the Cyprus Institute, offering two days dedicated to knowledge, inspiration, creativity and discovery.

The country’s largest science celebration invites children, students and adults alike to present innovative ideas, impressive projects and hands-on experiments in a dynamic, multi-layered and interactive festival environment.

Organised by the Cyprus Institute under the auspices of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth, sCYence Fair 2026 features three distinct activities designed for participants of all ages who share a passion for research and science.

3 April 2026

School Science Competition

School teams aged 9 to 18 are invited to participate in the sCYence Fair 2026 School Competition. Students from primary schools, gymnasiums and lyceums can present their most creative and innovative scientific ideas and compete for special prizes in each category.

Participation is free of charge. Schools may submit more than one team.

Art Competition

Primary, secondary and technical school students may also take part in the Art Competition, titled Science Through Children’s Eyes. Participants are invited to express scientific ideas through artistic and digital creations or three-dimensional constructions.

All works will be exhibited during sCYence Fair 2026, with outstanding entries receiving awards.

4 April 2026

Interactive Science Exhibition

On the second day, the fair opens its doors to individuals of all ages. Students, researchers and science enthusiasts are encouraged to register and share their discoveries with the public.

All participants will be entered into a draw for three special prizes.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to tour the Cyprus Institute’s state-of-the-art Research Centres and Laboratories, gaining insight into cutting-edge scientific research and innovation.

The event offers a weekend filled with experiments, exploration and interactive experiences, suitable for families, children and university students.
