Return to Spring as Temperatures Rise and Dust Arrives

High pressure brings clear skies, warmer days and some suspended dust.

High pressure is affecting the area, with patches of light dust expected in the atmosphere at times.

Today, the weather will be mainly clear with periods of locally increased cloud. Winds will blow mainly north-easterly to south-easterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and temporarily, mainly in coastal areas, moderate to strong and locally strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort.

The sea will be generally slight in the west and south, but slight to rough in the north and east.

Temperatures will rise to around 25°C inland and on the coasts, and around 14°C over the highest mountains.

Tonight

Tonight, the weather will remain mainly clear. Winds will continue north-easterly to south-easterly, light to moderate, 3 to 4 Beaufort, and temporarily moderate, 4 Beaufort, on the eastern coast.

The sea will be generally slight, though locally up to moderate in the north and east.

Temperatures will fall to around 10°C inland, around 14°C on the coasts and around 6°C in the highest mountain areas.

Outlook

On Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, the weather will be mainly clear, with periods of increased high cloud.

Temperatures will gradually rise through Friday, to stand significantly above the average climatological values for the season.
