As the day goes on, the weather is beginning to show signs of autumn. Clouds are building across parts of the island, and by afternoon, isolated showers and a possible thunderstorm may develop, mainly over the mountains, inland areas, and the southern coasts.
Winds will be variable, generally light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, and the sea will remain calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will hover around 30°C inland, 28°C along the coasts, and 23°C in the higher mountains.
Wednesday evening, the weather will stay mostly clear, though some periods of increased cloud cover are expected. Winds will turn northwesterly to northeasterly, light at around 3 Beaufort. Overnight temperatures will drop to 14°C inland, 17°C near the coast, and 11°C in the mountains, a cooler, more refreshing night hinting that autumn has arrived.
Thursday will bring intervals of medium and high cloud, with a chance of an isolated shower over the mountains later in the day. On Friday and Saturday, locally increased clouds could lead to brief, scattered showers around midday, mostly in the mountains and central areas.
Temperatures are set to fall slightly over the next few days, settling close to the seasonal average, marking a gentle shift from the warmth of late summer to the milder tones of autumn.
