An explosion occurred at the home of painter Giorgos Gavriil after the placement of an improvised explosive device. At the time of the explosion, Giorgos Gavriil was at home together with his children and grandchildren.
It is recalled that his artworks, which had sparked strong reactions, had led to threats against both the artist himself and the owner of the gallery where his exhibition was being hosted.
According to information, the explosive device is believed to have detonated on the veranda of the residence, causing material damage but no injuries. The artist and his family are reported to be in good health.

Immediately after the explosion at his home, Mr Gavriel alerted the Police, who are currently at the scene investigating the incident.
