The Cyprus Shipping Deputy Ministry (SDM) has unveiled the Cyprus Shipping 1-Stop-Shop Portal (CYSh1P), a centralized digital platform that consolidates and modernizes SDM maritime services for shipowners, managers, seafarers, lawyers and classification societies.

CYSh1P provides unified access to a wide span of services, including ship registration and registry transactions, technical safety and security workflows, environmental compliance for Cyprus-flagged vessels, seafarer training and certification, services related to the Tonnage Tax System, and processes for small and high-speed vessels.

The first set of e-services went live on Tuesday, 14 October 2025. Users can now submit applications for Seafarer Registration Certificates, issue or renew Seaman’s Books and Endorsements, and apply for the issuance or renewal of Certificates of Proficiency, Documentary Evidence, and Certificates of Competency (CoC).

With the launch of CYSh1P’s initial services, the previous eSAS platform has been discontinued. New applications can no longer be submitted via eSAS.

To use CYSh1P’s e-services, users must first register and enroll. Cyprus-registered companies should sign up using their CY Login account; firms without a company CY Login must obtain one as soon as possible. Foreign companies can complete registration directly through the CYSh1P portal.

Documentation and support

A detailed User Guide is available on the CYSh1P platform with step-by-step instructions for registration, profile creation, credentials setup and service enrollment.

The SDM says the new portal is part of a wider push to improve efficiency, transparency and accessibility in Cyprus maritime administration through digital innovation, aiming to deliver a seamless experience for all industry stakeholders.
