Cyprus and Greece Renew and Expand Investment Partnership

Invest Cyprus and Enterprise Greece will sign a renewed strategic memorandum aimed at strengthening cooperation on foreign investment.

Cyprus and Greece are set to renew and broaden their cooperation in the field of foreign investment through a new strategic memorandum between Invest Cyprus and Enterprise Greece.

The updated agreement will be signed by Invest Cyprus Director General Marios Tannousis and Dimitrios Skalkos, Secretary General for International Economic Affairs and Extroversion at Greece’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of Enterprise Greece.

The signing will take place during the second Cyprus business presentation event in Greece, titled The New Changes to the Cyprus Tax System, which will be held on Tuesday, April 21, from 10am to 2.30pm at the Theocharakis Foundation Amphitheatre in central Athens.

Focus on Cyprus tax changes

The event is aimed at briefing Greek businesses on the latest changes to Cyprus’s tax system, at a time when Greek investment in Cyprus continues to rise.

The main presentation on the revised tax framework will be delivered by Cyprus Tax Commissioner Sotiris A. Markides. Audit and legal firms will also outline the services they offer to Greek businesses and investors interested in Cyprus.

Welcome addresses will be delivered by Cyprus’s Ambassador to Athens Stavros Avgoustides, Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Stavros Stavrou, and Cyprus-Greece Business Association President Iosif Iosif.

Speakers will include Dimitrios Skalkos, Marios Tannousis, ICPAC President Odysseas Christodoulou and Cyprus Bar Association President Michalis Vorkas.

The renewal of the strategic memorandum on investment cooperation between Invest Cyprus and Enterprise Greece will be signed at the end of the event.

The event is held under the auspices of the Embassy of Cyprus in Greece, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Cyprus-Greece Business Association and Invest Cyprus.
