The roof of the historic Berengaria is once again taking its final shape, marking a pivotal and symbolic moment in the restoration of the legendary mountain resort. The complete replacement of the roof represents one of the most emotional and decisive stages in bringing this iconic site back to life.
Led by bbf: and guided by a deep respect for the authenticity and heritage of Berengaria, the renowned mountain retreat is gradually reclaiming its form and preparing to open a new chapter in its long history.
The vision and objective of bbf: for Berengaria remain focused on restoring this historic and emblematic building in a way that allows it to once again become a point of reference for the area, just as it was for much of the previous century when it first operated.
Construction works for the completion of the project are expected to begin in the second half of 2026 and conclude in the first half of 2029.
The completion and operation of the project, along with a number of smaller developments planned for the wider area, are expected to act as a catalyst for the region, significantly increasing visitor numbers.
At the same time, investment in the residential component of the project will offer a unique opportunity to acquire housing units located within a forest setting. The renovation and reconstruction of the listed hotel building will also allow visitors to enjoy the services of a luxury hotel, restoring Berengaria’s status as a premier destination in Cyprus’ mountain landscape.
